After introducing the exciting concept of ‘Alternative Facts’ a few months ago, President Trump has taken the occasion of his return from overseas to unveil the latest gift from his administration, ‘Alternative Words’.

Just like with alternative facts, alternative words are the same as regular words, and also completely different.

The first alternative word to be introduced, COVFEFE, is simultaneously the same as the regular word COVERAGE, and yet couldn’t be more different.

As an example, if Trumpcare gets passed, everyone will have Healthcare Covfefe, which is the same as Healthcare Coverage, but with a lot more people dying.

And just as the alternative tragedy at Bowling Green was quickly followed by similar non-events in Sweden and Atlanta, we can look forward to many exciting new alternative words appearing in the coming weeks.
