Apple (AAPL) has filed a patent for a sophisticated new technology that enables people to secretly call police simply by touching their iPhone screen in a certain way.
Based on fingerprint and gesture recognition, this would trigger a call to 911, and the police would then come to shoot you without anything needed to be said.
The technology looks for specific deliberate gestures to ensure nobody calls 911 and gets shot by the police without meaning to.
Unfortunately this feature may never become available, as companies often patent technology that is never released for general use.
However, Apple reminds the public that they can always get shot by the police using their iPhone the old fashioned way by simply dialing 911.
This is the most ridiculous article I have ever read. You seriously have a problem with police officers that bad? You realize without them it would be chaos, right? I will admit there are some bad ones but the majority are phenomenal people. It takes a special type of person to run towards bullets, risking their lives for complete strangers. Our police force is our military on the homefront. If you had negative experiences with them, there is a high probability that you were doing something you shouldn’t have been doing.
“Our police force is our military on the homefront.” oh boy!
