Camp David – the woodland Maryland retreat beloved by Presidents from Eisenhower to Reagan to Obama – has undergone a sudden strange transformation that has shocked those who maintain the property.

Largely unchanged since Nixon ordered the addition of a swimming pool half a century ago, the country lodge – which is technically a military installation staffed by the U.S. Navy and the Marine Corps – appears to have mysteriously acquired an 18-hole golf course and full casino resort hotel over the course of a single weekend.

“On Friday it was just like it’s always been, but when I went to check the grounds on Monday I heard someone yell ‘fore’ and was challenged to provide proof of membership by someone who was clearly not in the services.”

How such giant structures could have been erected so quickly seemed to defy explanation, though a closer inspection revealed how it was possible.

“It turns out it was really shoddily thrown together by whomever did this.”
