An exclamation point at the end of one of President Trump’s tweets expressed confusion today after realizing it was at the end of a tweet about recent events in Sri Lanka.

“I must be a typo. Please tell me I’m a typo.”

The exclamation point did not object to being used when discussing the horrific bombings per se, but maintained there were specific contexts in which it should be employed.

“such as Why the F**k am I at the end of a condolence tweet to the Sri Lanken [email protected]!”

Grammerians, however, point out that usage changes over time, and it’s possible that President Trump is merely anticipating something everyone will be doing soon.

“In a few years we will probably all be saying I’m sorry for your LOSS!!!!”
