Family Of Alligators Spotted Eating Primanti’s And Riding Duquesne Incline

The sighting of alligators in the Pittsburgh area continues unabated, with a third alligator sighted in Beechview, and now an entire family seen in the Strip District. Officials say the latest sighting should not be a cause of concern, however.

“Based on their behavior, we are confident these alligators are merely visiting Pittsburgh.”

This is bolstered by the fact that following the Strip District sighting, they were seen to move through Downtown and across the Smithfield Bridge, after which they boarded the Duquesne Incline.

“Your standard tourist itinerary, in other words.”

At last word the reptiles were seen heading back through Downtown and are now believed to be crossing the Allegheny.

“Someone told them about the Andy Warhol museum, and they don’t want to miss it.”

Asked about their presence, Mayor Peduto said Pittsburghers should be grateful and proud.

“This family from Florida could have visited Washington DC or Cleveland for their trip north, but instead they picked us.”

“Yeah, no,” said a representative for the alligators. “Washington DC? There’s so many alligators in that swamp now, there ain’t no room for more.”
