Concerns were expressed today for author JK Rowling after a tweet appeared on her account which was less than 110% scorching on the internet ‘burn’ scale.

“It’s not like her to fail to totally destroy someone like this.”

Fans of Rowling’s tweeting, which ‘routinely kills’ or ‘obliterates’ its target, are worried that something may be wrong.

“Hopefully she’s just got a severe cold or other temporary ailment that caused her to post this sharp and incisive, but not utterly devastating, tweet.”

That’s not so say the tweet wasn’t a good putdown by other standards.

“If Alec Baldwin had tweeted this I’d be very happy with the level of damage achieved, but with Rowling you expect more, and I’m sure she’d be the first to agree with me.”
