The internet was up in arms today over a tweet by Ohio congressman Jim Jordan, accusing him of disavowing the effectiveness of government even as he collects a paycheck working in government. However his physician has intervened to warn people that they shouldn’t judge Jordan too harshly as he has a debilitating neurological condition that can lead to crass hypocritical stances like this.
“Unfortunately Representative Jordan’s brain is incapable of holding more than one notion in it at a time.”
The latest incident occurred when Jordan read a quote by Ronald Reagan – who suffered from the same condition – which said that the the nine most terrifying words in the English language are “I’m from the Government and I’m here to help”.
“He took on board this idea of Reagan’s that government is worse than useless, thereby displacing the idea that he was in government and shouldn’t be thinking that.”
Critics said it’s important Jordan be reminded he’s in government to serve as soon as possible. However medical professionals caution that replacing his current idea with another idea too soon may not be a good idea.
“His brain cell has been through a lot today and it needs its rest.”
