The Islamic Republic of Iran has confirmed that it shot down a loaded passanger jet headed for Kiev, after categorically denied the fact for days on end.
“Oh, you meant THAT Ukrainian airliner.”
President Hassan Rouhani said he was sorry for the confusion, but people need to be more specific when asking if Iran was responsible for shooting down passanger aircraft that crash shortly after taking off from Tehran.
“We thought you meant the one that left a week earlier which departed our airspace without a problem. If someone shot that one down it definitely wasn’t us and you should really get to the bottom of it.”
When asked why bulldozers were reportedly clearing the crash site without regard for proper investigative procedure,
Rouhani paused for clarification.
“Sorry, which particular crash site are we talking about now?”
