It’s Super Bowl season which can only mean one thing and it’s a great thing too – that Left Shark is back in the news cycle.

Left Shark had indicated to close friends a desire to make it mean something this year, and is forming an exploratory committee to test the waters for a run for President at the next election.

Left Shark first came to prominence as part of Katy Perry’s Super Bowl halftime show in 2015, and has remained a popular figure in the public imagination ever since.

While definitely a maverick when it comes to synchronized dance routines, Left Shark is considered a trusted pair of hands on critical issues like the economy and foreign policy, at least by present standards.

Left Shark insists voters shouldn’t be put off by the name, as its politics are decidedly moderate, despite being left of center.

“Think Obama, but with better dance moves. Okay – worse dance moves.”

Surprisingly, Number 44 himself has already come out in favor of Left Shark’s bid.

“On the principle that only a Reality TV star or shallow cultural meme can win these days and given that anything is better than the incumbent, I heartily endorse Left Shark.”
