The question of whether running back Le’Veon Bell will play for the Steelers on Sunday appeared to be answered in the negative today, as his agent stressed protecting his client’s long-term value was the top priority.
“Le’Veon will not be available this Sunday or anytime in the near future, as he has entered cryogenic stasis to preserve his body for a future buyer.”
He also criticized the Steelers organization and the players for complaining about the situation, when it is merely what anyone in Bell’s situation should do.
“When you slap a franchise tag on a player with this much talent, you’ve no right to complain when they enter cryopreservation. It’s the logical consequence.”
As for when Bell plans to thaw himself out, that will depend on the market, which his agent said is unpredictable.
“This way Le’Veon will maintain his current physical health for as long as is needed until he gets the deal he wants, whether that is 10 weeks from now, or in the year 3000.”
I’m amazed, I must say. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s both equally educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The issue is an issue that too few men and women are speaking intelligently about. Now i’m very happy I found this during my hunt for something concerning this.
