Insisting that he was not violating the emoluments clause – which didn’t apply to him anyway – President Trump has emphatically denied using the White House to personally enrich himself in any way.

Trump defended his honor while volunteering at a soup kitchen called Mar-a-Lago over the New Year holiday.

“They said they had enough people to hand out the soup and the champagne, so they asked me if I would operate the cash register instead.”

Staff at the Florida charity confirmed that the President was there to lend a hand almost every weekend.
