There was some welcome news out of Paris today, with word that Notre Dame’s bee population survived the terrible fire there.

“We’re fine, and we expect a hive upgrade.”

Feeling this was their big chance to get the public on their side, the bees have made it clear they better get something out of this given all the money being pledged to restore their home. They rejected charges they were being crass.

“If we don’t speak up now they’ll just blow it all on spires and gargoyles.”

If they don’t get their way, the bees are threatening to not stick around.

“There are plenty of nice flowers in the Netherlands we could be hanging around instead, so don’t test us.”
