PA Senate Race: Poll Finds Dr. Oz Lagging Far Behind Dr. Evil & Dr. Pepper

PA POLITICS BRIEF: In further bad news for the PA Senate run by Dr. Mehmet Oz, a new Gallup poll of Pennsylvania voters has revealed a strong dislike of his candidacy, putting him far behind other potential doctor candidates including the soft drink Dr. Pepper and fictional antagonist Dr. Evil. Questions intended to understand the rationale behind the intense dislike indicated voters were prepared to take almost any other doctor besides the TV personality – even ones they also disliked. Some voters admitted not to be huge fans of Dr. Pepper but said that even they would prefer the carbonated beverage as their representative in the U.S. Senate.

“I may not care for Dr Pepper which reminds me of being forced to ingest disgusting medicine as a child – but that’s nothing compared to the bad taste Dr. Oz leaves in your mouth.”

Others said they would be far more inclined to vote for Dr Evil that Dr. Oz, though they stressed that they meant the character from the Austin Powers movies and not Doug Mastriano.

“Dr Evil may be intent on world domination, but he just seems kinder to me than Dr. Oz.”

Finally, the issue of Dr. Oz being from New Jersey seemed to weigh heavily on voters’ minds, given how opportunistic his sudden attachment to Pennsylvania appears to be.

“I feel that Dr. Pepper and Dr. Evil have much closer ties to the Keystone state than Dr. Oz ever will.”
