Senior White House advisor Steve Bannon was in buoyant form today, which he credits to President Trump for inspiring him to up his game by example.
“I became lazy because I assumed I was the most racist member of the administration.”
Bannon realized he had gotten soft when he saw Trump publicly give cover to White Supremacist groups for the events in Charlottesville, which earned him praise from David Duke and Richard Spencer.
“It should have been me suggesting to do that, but I’ve clearly let myself go these past few weeks.”
Bannon admits he used to think that once in the White House he could coast on his previous racist credentials from his time at Breitbart.
“It was pure arrogance through and through.”
