Career diplomats have urgently warned the White House about a nation state they have been monitoring that is in rapid decline which could lead to wider destabilization.

“Despite being a relatively healthy democracy in the past, it is now descending into a banana republic that can’t even keep important government departments funded.”

In a list of bullet points, they advised that the country has become increasingly corrupt and ostracized by the international community, and awards high-ranking posts to unqualified family members and incompetent sycophants.

“Just to be clear, it’s not North Korea.”

They were please to receive a quick response from the Oval Office.
