President Trump today acknowledged he may have to shift to the right from his current moderate position due to a credible primary challenge from a more extremist candidate.

The identity of the challenger is as yet unknown but he or she is reportedly energizing the Republican base with a proposal to use the Army to machine gun all Mexicans on sight.

The President conceded he may have to depart his centrist position towards immigration to see off the challenge if it materializes.

It may also force Trump to abandon his current benign economic policy in favor of one more attractive to the wealthy, as his likely opponent will make using paid mercenaries to rob poor people of what little they have left before kidnapping them into indentured servitude a flagship campaign promise.
