Russian President Vladimir Putin was highly critical today of President Trump’s retaliatory actions against impeachment witnesses which have included firing them from White House positions or withdrawing nominations for promotion.

“You call this retaliation? Why not just kill them?”

Putin says he intends to have words with President Trump during their next meeting in which he plans to impress upon the US leader the need to ‘step it up’ if he wants to continue hanging with the cool kids.

“You think Kim Jong-un would ‘retaliate’ against someone who showed disloyalty by having them escorted from their office?”

He did concede that Trump had shown some signs of promise.

“That strike on General Soleimani was a boss move even if it did piss me off. And your lack of regard for the well-being of your own citizens in Puerto Rico tells me there’s an outstanding despot in there somewhere.”

However Putin added there were some things about Trump he found hard to take, such as separating very young children from their parents and putting them in cages.
