The Parkland High School students have been receiving an impressive amount of condescension from Republicans, ranging from Marco Rubio’s antics to Florida state Rep. Elizabeth Porter’s comments that children shouldn’t be listened to about not wanting to be shot or next they’ll be demanding an end to homework.

Not to be outdone, former Pennsylvania Senator and failed Presidential candidate Rick Santorum weighed in on the protests today, proving that when it comes to being a right-wing asshole, he’s still the champ.

“How about kids, instead of looking to someone else to solve their problem, do something about maybe taking CPR classes…”

His comments have provoked mixed feelings among the locals in his hometown area of Western Pennsylvania

“On the one hand this is despicable, but on the other Pittsburgh loves a winner, and when it comes to political douchebaggery, our very own Rick Santorum is like the 70s Steelers, the 1960 Pirates, and the Penguins team of the early 90s rolled into one”
