The mystery of why the White House Christmas décor looks so cold and ominous was answered today with news that a sequel to Stanley Kubrick’s horror masterpiece ‘The Shining’ is set there.
“We’ll actually be filming “The Shining II” in the White House over the holidays.”
In order to minimize time needed to dress the set, the filmmakers asked First Lady Melania Trump to keep the upcoming production in mind when she decorated the White House.
“And boy did she deliver – I get chills just looking at it!”
Just like the original film, the story concerns a labyrinthine old building that is occupied by an evil presence hell bent on destruction.
“Except, instead of a resort hotel, it’s the White House.”
