With the future of affordable healthcare for women up in the air on Capitol Hill, a new survey finding that 52% of men don’t believe they have benefited from affordable birth control being available is arising eyebrows.
However a more interesting finding is the result of a simulation study asking what the benefits to society would be had the mothers of that 52% of men had better access to free birth control.
“In a word, enormous.”
Researchers used a massive computer simulation to study how differently society would have developed if the mothers of those 52% of men had not been able to ovulate
“The gender pay gap, date rape, general douchebaggery – it’s all vastly reduced in our simulated alternative future.”
The benefits don’t end there, with some surprising ones that weren’t remotely anticipated.
“TV shows would be better too. The list just goes on and on.”
