The record-breaking achievement follows a rash of recent appointments by President Trump in which he unveiled Ben Carson as the new Secretary of Transportation, Ben Carson as Secretary of Education, Ben Carson as Special Envoy to Northern Ireland, and Ben Carson as Aide to the First Lady. This is in addition to his prior appointment of an African-American to serve as HUD Secretary, which is helmed by a Mr. Ben Carson. Reached for comment, Secretaries Carson expressed surprise at the honors.

Trump added that he anticipates making even more appointments in the coming days, which he fully expects will also involve choosing yet more persons of color named Ben.
