President Trump has weighed in on the busing debate that has dominated the news cycle ever since Kamila Harris – herself bused as a young child – criticized Joe Biden for opposing mandated busing in the 1970s. Trump said he doesn’t see what the fuss is about.
“If those kids back then didn’t like taking the bus to school, they should have used their smartphones to order an Uber.”
Failing that he said they still had plenty of options.
“Such as Lyft, or they could have Skyped in on their Macbooks.”
Trump added he has also had enough of those who complain that being latchkey children in the 1970s and 1980s might have affected them.
“If you found you had forgotten your latchkey as an child, you should have asked the undocumented Mexicans who clean the house to let you in. Duh!”
