In a startling upset to the impeachment trial in the Senate, President Trump has let it be known that he will henceforth be defending himself and that any arguments put forward by his legal team are to be ignored.

“I will be making my perfect case for myself in the coming days.”

The dramatic change came after Adam Schiff posed a question to the President on twitter:

The President responded with a flurry of tweets asserting that no-one knew more about the law than him and immediately fired his entire legal team.
