Warren Beatty was overjoyed to learn he would get a second chance to present the Best Picture Oscar at this year’s Academy Awards, after giving it to La La Land instead of Moonlight by mistake in 2017.

“You guys are the best! I promise to give the right guy the Medal of Honor this time.”

Beatty admits he’s not quite the sharp perceptive individual he was in his youth, which is why he appreciates being extended this mulligan so much.

“I haven’t been so excited since that time I learned I got the lead in the smash hit Ishtar.”

Joining Beatty on the stage will be Faye Dunaway, who was with him during the confusion last year.

“I’m delighted to be presenting with Faye again, though Steve Harvey was my first choice obviously.”
