Mark Zuckerberg has informed friends he will be shutting down Facebook at the end of the month, after ‘getting the message’ that it’s bad.
“Can’t you tell when something’s meant to be a goof? Jeez!”
Zuckerberg said that he feels it’s time he did something with his life anyway, instead of coasting on a stupid algorithm to connect people in his dorm.
“It was just a dumb college project anyway.”
The Facebook CEO wanted to shut down the social media site straight away, but was convinced to wait until the end of the month.
“Apparently people use it for photos or something.”
He said it should be fairly easy when the time comes, as it just involves pulling the plug on a few server farms.
“Then I’ll finally be able to do something useful instead of wasting any more time on this frankly stupid idea.”
Asked what his immediate plans were, Zuckerberg said he’ll probably try to get a job doing ‘data entry or something like that’ until something better comes along.
