Emotional Roethlisberger Admits Browns Game Is Probably Last Time He’ll Throw A Bunch Of Picks At Heinz Field

STEELERS BRIEF: After rampant speculation about his forthcoming retirement, Steelers franchise QB Ben Roethlisberger has effectively admitted that the upcoming Monday night home game against the Cleveland Browns will be the last time he throws a bunch of picks at Heinz Field.

“But I promise to make them count for the fans – they’ll be great picks leading to a whole lot of point for the Browns.”

He reminded everyone that Monday won’t be his final time throwing picks for the Steelers, as he still has an away game against the Ravens before the regular season comes to a close. Big Ben said he even hopes that might be the occasion where he goes out on a high note by smashing Jim Hardy’s record of most picks (8) in single game.

“I know the most I’ve managed so far in one game is five, but I feel I have a real shot at it with this offensive line.”

  1. Aw, this was an incredibly good post. Spending some time and actual effort to produce a top notch article… but what can I say… I put things off a lot and never manage to get nearly anything done.
