The Society of Freemasons has detailed new measures to combat the spread of the coronavirus, with the most important being the replacement of the secret handshake.

“Instead we will use the secret elbow tap, details of which will be privately distributed to individual lodges.”

Members of the elusive organization are also being advised by leadership to wash their hands frequently.

“Fortunately we already have aprons to dry them with so that’s a plus.”

Meetings may still be held, but only if they are small in number.

“In addition to our pre-existing archaic rituals we now require all masons to maintain a six foot separation at all times.”
