The ongoing sage of the future plans for the Pittsburgh Steelers entered a new chapter today, with word the team was relocating to Pittsburg, CA. Owner Art Rooney II said it was a simple matter of comfort, as Pittsburgh, was experiencing freeze-your-buns-off weather in April, which he said was simply unacceptable.

“I’m sure you understand.”

He does, however, hope current fans will continue to support his team just as they always have.

“The Steelers have a long tradition of enjoying support from fans many miles away from their home town, so we trust this can continue once we move to California and its lovely weather.”

The Steelers exodus to the Golden State has already had major repercussions for the region, with many other iconic business announcing they plan to move west as well, such as Primanti Brothers.

“Hopefully this move will provide a gateway to dislodge the Sourdough Soup Bowl from its undeserved perch, as well as making life for us more comfortable in numerous other ways.”

Reached for comment about the mass exodus, Mayor Bill Peduto said he was too busy to offer an opinion right now.

“Um, I’ve got an important flight to catch – but we’ll talk later for sure.”
