White House Confirms No Statues Were Hurt In Barcelona Attack

This statue of Christopher Columbus is thankfully unscathed.

The White House has released a statement on the Barcelona attack saying the President has been in touch with the Spanish government to convey his condolences.

“Though this is a horrific attack, it appears that no statues were injured, thank god.”

The President was especially concerned that statues of heroes of the failed Basque separatist movement might have been hurt.

“A van traveling at speed can do great damage to a monument, and in doing so, damage history also.”

The President said he would assist them in any way he could, including intelligence sharing, medical staff, and cranes.

Trump also condemned those behind the attack.

“Those who hurt people or beautiful statues deserved the maximum punishment.”
