Williams Shatner today expressed his enormous disappointment with his recent trip to space aboard the Blue Origin, with the Star Trek actor saying it was a huge let down in numerous ways.
“It just went straight up and down with no opportunity for me to grab a console as I lurched from side to side.”
In addition to the disappointing smoothness of the ride, Shatner was also greatly dismayed by the absence of features on the spacecraft.
“There was no transporter, no phasers – nothing! What if the Romulans had attacked?”
Though he considers the trip a bitter failure, he says he can’t complain as he was allowed to ride for free by Jeff Bezos.
“I guess when it comes to space travel you get what you pay for!”
